Jai & Jai Gallery is proud to announce an exhibition of new large-scale collaborative paintings by
LA-based artists, Sasoon Markarian & Kelly Davis.
“TIMELINES”
is Kelly Davis and Sasoon Markarian’s first collaborative exhibition together in Los Angeles.
The show plunges viewers into immense abstract panoramas reimagining deep space, next to underwater seascapes, endless oceans and distant ice ages.
In one aspect, the works reference imagined prehistoric perceptions of the heavens and the seas evolving. Dye manipulations in the paintings document a shifted, blurred view of raw nature – void of humans. Abstract washes create folds in perception with gradations and tonalities that make each painting distinct and impeccably rich in detail, depth and texture.

Jai & Jai Gallery focuses on maintaining a trans-disciplinary program by working with and exhibiting the works of both emerging and contemporary architects & artists. Alongside curated exhibitions of relevant, contemporary work, the undercurrent mission of Jai & Jai Gallery is to engage in and cultivate discussions that lie within the intersection of art and architecture. The fresh perspectives of the gallery exhibitors reveal disparate influences and practices but share a common affinity for pushing the boundaries of theory, fabrication, and representation through art, architecture, and design.
